02/02/2005 Archived Entry: "Bus Crash in Upstate NY Kills Four"

A Coach Canada motorcoach carrying a women's hockey team from Canada hit a parked tractor trailer on the shoulder of Rt. 390 near Genneseo, New York, on Saturday (1/29/05), killing three passengers and the truck driver who was standing on the shoulder in front of his truck. The MCI coach was practically split in half. Cause of the accident is being investigated; the 24 year old driver says he swerved to miss a metal object in the road (not found by police), but he's also being investigated for possibly falling asleep at the wheel and for possible log book violations. You can read more about it here (link may break in a few days).
