Redskins visit the Eagles (15k image)
Go Eagles! The Philadelphia Eagles finally won their first game in their beautiful new stadium, Lincoln Financial Field, beating the Washington Redskins in a thriller, 27-25. I drove for a group of season ticket holders. Parking in the stadium area is really a disorganized mess; buses are mixed in with cars, just asking for problems. This is the only major league stadium area I know of that has no dedicated parking area for buses! Hopefully that will change once the construction of the Phillies new stadium (Citizens Bank Park) is completed (April 2004) and the old home of the Eagles and Phillies, Veterans Stadium, is torn down (February 2004). But that won't help any for the rest of the Eagles season this year.

I leave tomorrow for a six day trip to the Washington, DC area .... wonder if I should take my Eagles hat along.
