Bugler Playing Taps at Arlington (34k image)

Undoubtedly one of the saddest trips for which I've had to drive was the funeral this week of Spc. Kurt Krout Sr., killed August 6 in Iraq. A large group of his fellow Wal-Mart employees hired the coach to drive them to the burial in Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.

The photo above shows a lone bugler playing taps at the graveside service.

I've driven many various groups to Arlington before, but this was the first time I drove a motorcoach into the cemetery itself (rather than stay in the bus parking) and was part of the funeral procession. Although the roads through the cemetery aren't extremely wide, it's relatively easy to navigate the coach, and most places there is room to allow vehicles traveling the opposite way to pass when necessary.
