12/18/2003 Archived Entry: "Going to See the Gov"
I drove one of our new MCI J4500 coaches (pictured above) yesterday to take the PA state champion North Penn High School football team to Harrisburg, PA, to be honored by the state legislature and meet Governor Ed Rendell. It snowed hard while we waited to pick them up, but fortunately the temperature was just a little too warm for the snow to lay and the roads were only wet. I love driving these coaches; they're the smoothest riding and easiest driving of any I've been in.
Last Saturday I drove a public tour to see the Christmas special at Three Little Bakers in Wilmington, DE. TLB is one of my favorite places to go -- they treat drivers well with a free meal, parking right next to the theatre, and you may even watch the whole show if you want. Their buffet was a real test of my new diet; I did pretty well -- somehow I managed to stay under my calorie limit for the day, but it wasn't easy!

You should send that photo to one of those industry mags that run contests each year for best motorcoach photo. It's great!

Maybe even MCI would like to see it

Thanks for the compliment! Let me know if you come across one of the photo contests; I'm not familiar with any that are motorcoach related, but I like the idea.
