10/24/2003 Archived Entry: "Washington, DC"

I spent the day in Washington, D.C. yesterday with a group of exchange students from Germany, and the day went very smoothly -- I'm finally quite comfortable at finding my way around, thanks to several trips there recently. Washington has taken me the longest of any of the major cities I drive to to become comfortable with, partly because I don't go there as often as some of the cities closer to home, and partly because Washington's street layout is unique. But now that I feel like I know where I'm going, I'm looking forward to my next trip there.

My previous post mentioned my trip to the National Constitution Center and motorcoach parking in Philadelphia; here's an official site with a lot of helpful information for the historic areas, especially, from the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau; I'll get this added to the Links page, but for now it's here: http://www.pcvb.org/traveltrade/bus-parking.asp.
