Today the group visited the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. The photos below don't do it justice, but will give you a hint of the beauty here. This Roman Catholic Shrine contains the largest collection of contemporary Christian art in the USA in over 60 chapels and oratories, reflecting the religious heritage of America's many cultures. Easy parking (free) for both cars and buses right across the street; passengers can easily be dropped off and picked up right in front of the Shrine. Even if you're not Catholic, this is definitely worth a visit if you've never seen it.
