Skyline over Chicago River (49k image)As you can see, I've been doing a lousy job this summer of keeping my blog updated, so I'm trying to do some catching up with a couple of posts yesterday and today. I'm currently on a ten-day trip to Chicago, IL, with a church group on a work project here. A couple of nights ago I took the photo at right of the skyline, just after sundown, as I was walking across one of the many drawbridges here over the Chicago River that runs through the city. The Sears Tower, tallest building in the US, looms in the background. Another drawbridge, no longer in use and raised permanently, frames the photo on the left. It's my first bus trip to Chicago, but I've been here many times before for personal and business reasons. It's a great city -- I love the architecture, there's lots to do, and it's much more bus friendly than some large cities are. I'll try and post a little more on that aspect of Chicago later.
