11/16/2003 Archived Entry: "Eagles Are on a Roll"
The Philadelphia Eagles have now won five games in a row, with a very convincing win today over the NY Giants, 28-10. Lincoln Financial Field was once again flooded with New York fans, so I watched the game from a small pocket TV I sometimes carry on my coach, along with a couple of other drivers also relegated to the parking lot. The parking situation is slowly improving; another parking lot behind the Vet was opened today, newly macadamed, but not yet lined. There still isn't enough parking there, though, and buses are still mixed in with cars -- not an ideal situation -- but we're dealing with it. The situation is a little unique in the case of the Eagles games (as compared to Phillies games or other football games): because the Eagles games are always sold out, most of the bus groups attending games are season ticket holders and are there every week, usually with the same drivers, so we've all pretty much gotten our routines down. But the real solution will come once the Vet is torn down, and all the parking lots finished. That won't happen for this Eagles' season, but at least the situation should be vastly improved by the time the Phillies' season opens.
