11/12/2003 Archived Entry: "Back from Boston"

Boston Skyline (14k image)I survived my first coach trip to Boston, Massachusetts -- not the first time I've been there, but the first time with a coach. I drove for a group of students visiting Gordon College north of Boston (Wenham), then came back through Boston for some sightseeing on the way back to Pennsylvania. I lucked out on traffic; we went up on Sunday, which is usually a light traffic day anyway, and returned on Tuesday through Boston. Tuesday was Veterans Day, and many offices and businesses in Boston were closed, so traffic was unusually light. Good timing for my first coach trip there! The photo is the Boston skyline from near Northern Avenue in southeast Boston, near where I found some parking space.

I did some updating of the Links page today, including some info on Boston especially for coach drivers. The Links page has also been reorganized with parking and destination information organized by state. As the site grows it will be a little easier to find things now. Eventually, I may end up with a page for each state -- depends how much use the site gets and how many links users wish to see added there. For now I'm trying to limit it to the most general and useful links.

Tomorrow is my first trip of the season to the Christmas show at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. If you have a trip there, be sure to check out the link for parking and info on NYC -- the page has been newly updated for the 2003 holiday season with some very helpful info on drop-offs/pick-ups and parking.
