We have posted a topic about the best trip.  It is easy to remember the good trips and having fun, but it is even easier to remember the bad trips.  I am sure we have all had at least one that we remember and will never forget.

Mine started innocent enough.  It was an early morning trip to an amusement park.  Nothing big.  I had been there more times than I could count.  Still going there too.

I was taking a church group for the day.  Upon arrival I noticed the church was next to a main city street and it would not be safe to stop in the street so I swung wide and started pulling into their parking lot.  Well that is when it started.  LOL.

There was some woman at the other end of the parking lot yelling, "He is going to hit our cars.  He is bringing that big thing in here.  It is too big".  On and on.  That did not bother me.  You seem to always have one now and then so I just more or less ignored it.  While the lot was not huge, I had plenty of room.

I noticed, no one was paying her too much mind.  That made me wonder in itself.  LOL.

Well, we finally got loaded and left.  Almost an hour late.  We got close to the park and the kids and adults started screaming.  I don't mean just yelling for joy.  I mean "blood curddling" screaming.  The first time I ever had to yell and tell a group to calm down.  And still the only time I have ever had to do that.

We arrived at the park.  Since we got a late start they asked if they could stay longer.  We were suppose to leave by 6.  They promised to be out by 7.  I agreed.  Well 7 rolled around and no one.  7:30 and no one.  Finally I saw them coming out of the park at 8pm.

We finally got pulled away at 8:45.  And they still wanted to go eat dinner.  I was very hungry or I would not have gone.  Normal bus driver right.. always hungry.. LOL.

I will not bore you with the mess at the restaurant, but just to say, it lasted much longer than it was suppose to also.

Well we finally get on the road and I start hearing "the complainer" start again.  The one that was yelling when i was pulling into the parking lot.  LOL.

It was now almost 11pm, I have a 4 hour drive ahead of me and I was suppose to be back by midnight.  LOL..

Well.. they put in a movie and feel asleep.  So it was all quiet.  So I thought.  LOL.

It is about 3am, I am almost back at the drop off point.  I am on the interstate moving along at a good pace.  My exit is coming up right past an onramp from another road.  There is a semi tanker coming onto the interstate so I slow down so he can get infront of me and I will slide behind him and move to my exit.  We are in a city so the exits are just a few yards apart.

Like I said.  This is about 3am.  Nice and quiet.  Not much traffic on the road.  Matter of fact, all I see is this semi and myself.  All of the sudden at the top of her lungs the "complainer" yells… "He is gonna kill us.  He is going to run us into that truck.  We are all gonna die."

I jumped like I had been shot.  I was looking in all my mirrors thinking I had missed something on the road.  Needless to say I was scared out of my head for a second.  All of the sudden someone yelled at this woman.  "(her name), what in the world is wrong with you."

Then she began to yell her stuff all over again.  At that point I realized she was referring to the semi infront of me.

I was so p…. that I could not see straight.  If I would not have been so close to the drop off point, I would have pulled over and called the police and have her pulled off my bus.

When I talked to my boss a few days later, I told him the whole story.  He said I should not have given them the hour longer at the park.  It was their fault we got a late start.  But I also told him.  If you ever have me haul them again I will quit right then and their.  LOL.

He just smiled and laughed.

Take the good with the bad and just keep smiling. Laugh  LOL

God Bless you all.  Keep it safe and watch out for all the crazies out there.  LOL.
