Greetings, road mates.

My name is Stan (known as "Uncle Stan" to just about everyone due to the way my nieces & nephews introduced me to their friends over the years.) I've been driving since 2003 when the Jersey Surf Drum & Bugle Corps needed drivers to go to Denver in 2004 and persuaded me to get my license. Since then I've driven for two other corps, The Cadets and Carolina Crown, on two-month long tours that have taken me all around the country ending up at Finals in such places as Orlando, Madison WI, Brockton MA, Pasadena, and Indianapolis. Hardware has included an MCI 96C3 & J4500, a VanHool C2045, some recycled NJ Transit MC-9 highway commuters, and a classic GMC "deck-and-a-half".

For the past several years I've been driving for Oak Tree Bus Service in Edison NJ, with school bus work ranging from summer school for Special Needs kids to local school athletic, band and field trips as well as charter coach day trips to such venues as NYC, Philadelphia, Camden NJ, and a once or twice monthly ride to Atlantic City. We don't do many overnight trips although I have been to Gettysburg on a three-day excursion. Most of our fleet is, shall we say, "mature" but fairly well-maintained. The school buses comprise a collection of types A, C, & D and the coach fleet is all MCI, from 96A3 to E4500.

I love what I do and am sorry I didn't think of this sooner.
