Although it’s not an Interstate, you may find yourself on the Garden State Parkway from time to time. You’ll be disappointed that not all the signs meet Federal spec just yet, but now that the road had been taken over by the New Jersey Turnpike Authority you can expect some changes. There’s work being done at the Parkway/Turnpike/I-287 interchange and signs along this part of the Parkway are scheduled to be updated over the next couple of years.

LOL Nice catch, Joe — not sure how that I-80 goof snuck in there — at least I had the right result! I’ve corrected it now.

I suspect there may be a few other exceptions to the MPH extremes, too, but I just listed the ones currently shown in the Wikipedia article linked above. Speed limits often change, so there will no doubt be other changes, too, in the future.

Hey there Bob. Some great points but if I may. A couple of misses here. In #3 above, I 80 goes east and west.
And the “lowest speed limit”. I 68 through Cumberland MD also have a 40 MPH speed limit.
